It is not an accident that I am here, & it is not an accident that you are reading this either!

I joined Alchemy, when I was only 8weeks old and found my own way to be the leader of the Welcome Team!  Greeting people as they come into the clinic, holding their hand as they are being treated; for this I get rewarded in kind pats, hugs and often treats.

It is a joy being part of the Alchemy team: watching newborn babies come crying and go away laughing or quietly sleeping; young & old folks come in hobbling and some even bent double almost walking like me! they too go away walking upright and tall.. .  .   .    .

I enjoy most when young children come and play ball with me in the garden and sit in my office and talk to me; they are like little puppies and we have a great time! I hate to say this, but I always win all the ball games they try to play. And I NEVER cheat, no, not me!!

I look forward to seeing my old friends coming back, but also the new ones who are not quite sure what's going to hit them next!  But don't you worry, Buster's on your side!!

More than all that, I look forward to seeing the last patient go, so me & my buddy can go for a walk or a swim in the river or even better, in the wide open sea! That's what life's about!!

I lie belly-up
In the sunshine, happier than
You ever will be.

Today I sniffed
Many dog butts—I celebrate
By kissing your face.

I sound the alarm!
Paperboy—come to kill us all —
Look! Look! Look! Look! Look!

I sound the alarm!
Garbage man—come to kill us all —
Look! Look! Look! Look! Look!

I lift my leg and
Whiz on each bush. Hello, Spot—
Sniff this and weep.

I Hate my choke chain—
Look, world, they strangle me! Ack
Ack Ack Ack Ack Ack!

Sleeping here, my chin
On your foot—no greater bliss—well,
Maybe catching cats.

Look in my eyes and
Deny it. No human could
Love you as much as I do.
